Michael Stewart Wortham, affectionately known as “Rev. Mike,” is a native of Fairfield, Alabama and currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
Rev. Mike has served in ministry since the age of 18 with interests in the spiritual concerns of youth and young adults, social justice and activism, and the intersection of race and religion.
Rev. Mike graduated cum laude in 2007 from Hampton University with a BS degree in Finance and in 2010 from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University with a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Race and Religion and certificates from the Black Church Studies and Baptist Studies programs.
Rev. Mike received his license to preach in August 2007 from the Sixth Avenue Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama and was ordained in October 2011 at the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia and currently serves there as the Assistant Pastor for Youth, College, & Young Adult Ministries.
